Vaccination is a prime way of reducing the severity of the COVID-19 virus. The vaccination process has been updated with the “V Days” of the VProject.

From May 10th to 16th, VProject volunteers will be in the community to raise awareness during the “V Days”. The goal of the VProject is to vaccinate 70% of Toledo and Northwest Ohio and be a role model for other cities.

Some of the main events of the V-Days are neighborhood acquisitions, mobile vaccination units, a 42-hour “vaccinathon” and entertainment from Toledo Symphony musicians in one vaccine!

Throughout the week, during V Days from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, the Toledo Fire Department will be holding mobile vaccination clinics with Johnson & Johnson’s single dose vaccine in the following locations. Walk-ins are welcome:

Tuesday May 11th – East Toledo Family Center

Wednesday May 12th – Mayores Senior Center

Thursday May 13th – Zablocki Leisure Center

Friday May 14th – Kent Branch Library

Also, get entertainment while you get vaccinated. On May 13th, the Toledo Symphony will be performed from 1pm to 6pm

Musicians performing at the Toledo-Lucas County Health Department on downtown Erie Street include Nancy Lendrim on harp and Cheryl Trace on violin. Walk-ins are welcome at this clinic.

Finally, visit Dr. Richard Paat, Toledo-Lucas County Health Department and other community partners, to join the meeting at Smart Academy School on 617 Western Ave on Friday, May 14, from 6:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 16 42-hour vaccinathon to be held in Toledo.

The one-time Johnson & Johnson vaccine is given – no second appointment is required. Walk-ins are welcome (perfect for 2nd and 3rd shift employees!) And you can also make an appointment by calling 419-318-2191.

To make all of this possible, the VProject is looking for more help.

Volunteers are required to work in the call center and personally promote the Waite High School neighborhoods.
