This is the perfect weekend to go out and explore. All you have to do is decide where to go 419!

TOLEDO, Ohio – This weekend is the best time to put life on a leash, frolic with family, or take a summer stroll. All this and much more is possible with Go 419! Check out this list of 11 great things to do near you.


New leash for life | Catawba Island Club | 6 p.m.

Start your weekend off with a new leash for life! Make your way to the Catawba Island Club to support the Doggos for this amazing night. The 9th annual New Leash on Life event is held to support the Island Safe Harbor Animal Sanctuary and includes a great dinner, raffles and silent auctions, and entertainment from Island Song.

A general admission ticket is $ 40. VIP entry costs $ 100 and includes a free cocktail and hors d’oeuvre reception from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., a private preview of all auction items, raffles, and a first choice of seats.

Monroe County Fair Fireworks | Monroe County Fair | 21 clock

End Friday night with a bang in Monroe on the fairgrounds. This week kicks off the Monroe County Fair and Friday night is the time to enjoy fireworks. It is the 74th year of the fair and this show is something to celebrate!

The show starts at dusk and parking is in the parking lot east of the fairgrounds on the M-50 and south of the fairgrounds on South Raisinville Road – just follow the signs.


Opening of the Perrysburg Inclusive Playground | Rotary Community Park | 10 am

Every child wants to go out and play! This Saturday, the first inclusive playground in the region will be officially opened in the Rotary Community Park in Perrysburg. Celebrate with us! At 10 a.m. the ribbon is cut and at 10:30 a.m. the playground opens for what it is there for: to PLAY.

Summer walk through downtown Tiffin 2021 | Downtown Tiffin | 10 am

Enjoy a summer Saturday strolling downtown Tiffin. Head downtown for this summery tradition and collect some summery goodies from the 25 participating companies. This is your chance to get cool stuff and explore Tiffin.

You have to buy tickets for the walk and they cost $ 25. Here you can get yours and see all participating companies.

Family frolic | Pearson Metropark | 10 am

Take the kids on a family day out at Pearson Metropark this weekend. Experience an outdoor adventure in the 419 with the whole family on this child-friendly exploration and let your curiosity show the way! This month you can escape barn swallows from their mud nests and then build your own nest!

Make sure you dress appropriately for the weather and get messy! It’s $ 3 for this family getaway and you need to reserve your spot, and you can do that right here.

Seasons of the swamp | Manhattan Swamp | 2:30 p.m.

After a busy week of screens, the weekend is the perfect time to explore one of the metroparks. In Manhattan Marsh, you can experience all of its unique beauty on this guided walking tour. See what flowers are in bloom and learn.

This walk takes place in rain or shine, so make sure you adapt to the weather! This program is $ 3 and you need to pre-register and you can do it here.

Adams Street Block Party | Adamsstrasse | 14 o’clock

Are you ready to party in one of the best neighborhoods in Toledo? Adams Street is where it’s at on Saturday! Go to Adams for a good time and check out all of the great local businesses for great deals and fun. Due to the current occasion, the topic will be the end of Prohibition! There will be food trucks, live music, drink specials, a water balloon fight, a dunk tank and much more.

A $ 5 wristband gives you access to drinks at the Adams Street ORA.

Palooza in the park | Central Park, Northwood | 4:45 pm-10pm

The weekend is a party and you can do that in Northwood for the annual Palooza in the Park! The party takes place in Central Park and features live music from North of Nashville & DJ Kasey. There will be tons of fun activities including a cornhole tournament. There will be food trucks and lots of good beer and seltzer.

The City of Northwood also honors Ken James for 35+ years of community service.

Family movie night | Promenade Park | 17 o’clock

So much fun happens downtown at Promenade Park and Saturday night is another family movie night to enjoy under the stars. The fun starts at 5pm with the kids getting to meet some of their favorite characters like Spider-Man, Captain America, Iron Man, and Black Widow. This week’s film is “Cars” and starts at 7pm. Did you forget to cook dinner? Don’t worry, there will be loads of food trucks to satisfy your hunger!

This event is completely FREE so just get the whole family together.


Sunday markets | Toledo farmers market | 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Enjoy everything you love at the Toledo Farmers Market on Sunday. Start your week with a relaxing stroll through the farmers market and browse through all the great products, flowers and everything else the market has to offer.

2021 NWO Rib-off | Lucas County Fairgrounds | midday

Skip breakfast and make your way to Lucas County Fairgrounds for delicious ribs at the Northwest Ohio Rib-off! Again this year, entry is only $ 5 per family, then you can enjoy special activities for the kids, a Rolling Stones tribute band, and of course lots of ribs.
