Toledo grandmother found guilty of murder, endangering children

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – A Toledo grandmother accused of killing her grandson in 2019 pleaded guilty to murdering and endangering children.

Yisenya Flores will be sentenced on May 21.

Anjuan Hare III lived with Flores while his mother was serving time on minor offenses. After Hare died, Flores told investigators that he jumped off a mattress and injured himself. However, doctors told investigators that the injuries were incompatible with a fall.

Flores eventually confessed that she had hit the boy the day before and that he looked sluggish and unable to get up from the floor.
