Summertime means bath time in Ohio, and there are plenty of options in the 419! Whether you need a bit of exercise, meet other locals, or just need to get the kids out of the house, we have the list of the best swimming holes to jump into!

** Rolf Park

2115 Cass Road, Maumee

Rolf Park Pool has several colorful water slides and free community events. Although open to the public, there is an entrance fee of $ 5-8 per person (depending on height). Memberships are available to Maumee residents. Pool times are limited so take your time before dinner! The 2019 pool opening hours are all week from 12 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. The Rolf Park Pool usually follows the summer calendar of the local schools, this year opens on Friday, May 31st and closes on Thursday, August 8th. Plummer Pool is open from Saturday, May 25th through Labor Day this year. In summer, the pool times are from Monday to Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Entrance fees for Sylvania residents are $ 3 for children under 12 and $ 4 for swimmers 12 and over. This off the beaten path quarry includes a diving board and waterslide. The surrounding area includes grills, picnic tables, a basketball court, and volleyball. There are no lifeguards on duty so swim at your own risk. Pets and glass containers are not allowed. Clearwater Quarry is open noon to 8 p.m. daily through Labor Day. White Star Quarry

White Star Quarry is set in 800 acres of parkland and is a popular spot for divers and casual swimmers. Cool boxes and foreign food (except baby food) are not allowed, but discounts are available for purchase. Entrance fees for non-residents are $ 7.50 for adults, $ 6.75 for children aged K-12, and $ 5 for children under 6, while residents are $ 6, $ 5.50, and $ 3.75, respectively. Coontz Recreation Center Splash Pad

This fresh addition to the Coontz Recreation Complex is the perfect spot for those looking for fun under the sun. The 2,400-square-foot pad encompasses 14 different gaming environments, including a 360-degree basketball water cannon, fountain sprinklers for baseball bats, a misted soccer goal, and various floor sprinklers. Olander Park

The bathing and beach facilities of Lake Olandersee are open Wednesday to Sunday and on public holidays 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday, June 5th to Sunday, August 18th. From Saturday, August 24th, the swimming area will only be open on weekends from 12 noon to 6 p.m. The authentic sandy beach is guarded by lifeguards. Children under 2 are free, while Sylvania School District residents pay $ 3 / person. All other guests are $ 5.
