The four new Kroger Saladworks branches that will open in the summer months include:

- 7580 Beechmont Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio (now open)
- 3636 Springdale Street, Cincinnati, Ohio (now open)
- 130 Parkway Pavilion, Newport, KY (soon)
These new ones Ohio Restaurants complement the two existing Saladworks locations in Columbus and another Kroger store in Cincinnati. WOWorks’ plan to expand the Saladworks locations in Ohio is directly tied to the opportunities offered by the state’s growing millennials and the needs of Generation Z guests who require purchasing power and lifestyle. These audiences, and their desire to purchase nutritious customizable meals that meet a variety of health, wellness, and nutritional needs is a major factor driving the brand’s growth in Ohio.
Saladworks’ focus on fresh food that does not require cooking, grills, hoods and skilled kitchen staff is proving to be a huge win for franchisees. The move to open restaurants in grocery chains and other nontraditional eateries began in early 2019 when Saladworks opened its first in-store location Philadelphia. Much like their standalone locations across the country, these nontraditional restaurant locations focus on customization through their selection of over 60 fresh, tasty, and nutritious ingredients.
The in-store restaurants offer diners a variety of healthy options for shopping, including customizable salads, wraps, grain bowls, soups, and more. To date, Saladworks has restaurants in 10 grocery stores in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio, and new York, further locations are to be opened in 2021 and 2022.
These new locations will also participate in Saladworks’ Local Heroes program. Police officers, firefighters, first responders, teachers, doctors and other workers who keep communities safe can sign up for Saladworks Rewards and receive 20 bonus points with every purchase, as well as special offers on relevant appreciation days and holidays.
The brand is actively looking for qualified franchise partners, preferably people with business and / or franchise experience and a passion for guest care. The training program for franchisees is intended to convey the basics for efficient management of a successful restaurant before the store opens and is completed on site. The total initial investment to open a Saladworks restaurant is $ 199,726 – 549,295.
