Jake and Diana Rogers will finally have a chance to have a baby after a long battle with infertility.
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – “It only costs a toll because every month you have a lot of hope of getting pregnant, and you’re counting the days until you find out you’re not,” said Diana Rogers of her and her journey Man’s Jake trying to have a baby.
Any couple who have experienced infertility can relate to battle and month after month to disappointed hope.
“And then you see all of your friends get pregnant,” said Diana. “Lots of people with babies and it’s like, ‘Great, we’re so happy for you.’ But at the same time it’s like, “This is difficult. We also want to have a family.” “

The couple have a unique story. They met in Diana’s homeland, Guatemala, and had a long-distance relationship for several years. Then they married and settled in Jake’s hometown of Bowling Green nearly six years ago.
The past year has been tough and trying to get pregnant without a baby showing up.
“I went to my doctor and she did a lot of tests and then I got medication, like aggressive fertility treatment, and it didn’t work,” Diana said.
Then one morning on his drive to work in Toledo, where Jake is a physical education teacher at the Lucas County Detention Center, he heard about a morning contest on iHeart Radio’s Mojo for a chance to win free In Vitro Fertilization.

“We just want to be parents to show a child love and have so much joy that they bring into your life and we can bring it into their lives,” said Jake, he wrote in the entry.
Jake’s words on the post were enough to get into the top 20 out of 10,000 participants, and then into the top 10, where it was up to the public to vote for their favorite couple.
“We were listening on the radio and Mojo said our names and it was just … we didn’t know what to do,” Diana said. “We were just in shock and said, ‘Did it really happen? Are you sure?’ And then we cried. “
Diana and Jake won free IVF with an embryo transfer. That would have cost her about $ 15,000.
They thank everyone in northwest Ohio, many of whom are complete strangers, for voting to give them this chance.
“”[It’s great] Just to finally get the excitement and be hopeful instead of being let down every month, “Jake said.
Congratulations to Jake and Diana on being the first Mojo winners. You’re getting a baby contest! We love to help you start your family! 🎉 Stay tuned for the rest of the winners this week! ✨
