Occupied central Toledo house fire

The Red Cross was called on site to help the two adults and two children who live in the house.

TOLEDO, Ohio – A family escaped a house fire in central Toledo early Friday morning.

The fire occurred around 1 a.m. on the 2700 block of Lawrence Ave.

The fire started in the attic and spread to the roof, causing significant damage to the second floor and attic.

The family, two adults and two children who live in the house, were able to leave the house safely.

The Red Cross was called to the scene to help the family. The cause of the fire is unknown.
