KeyBank, NeighborWorks and The Fair Housing Center Collaborate to Expand Access to Home Loans for Single-family Properties Throughout Toledo

TOLEDO, Ohio, September 2, 2021 / CSRwire / – KeyBank, NeighborWorks Toledo Region and The Fair Housing Center are working together to make single family home finance easier and more affordable for individuals and low to middle income families across the city of Toledo.
The program, which involves an investment of 3 million. To be eligible, borrowers must have an annual income of no more than 80 percent of the median land area income.

Loan applicants must attend a NeighborWorks homebuyer orientation session as well as one-on-one counseling sessions that include an affordability analysis. Additional credit counseling, loan repair instructions, and on-site homebuyer training are offered by the NeighborWorks Financial Opportunity Center.

NeighborWorks underwriting standards are used to qualify loan applicants and applications are submitted to an internal loan committee made up of senior management at NeighborWorks. The Fair Housing Center will ensure that the program is inclusive and achieves its goal of building communities that create and provide opportunities for all.
