Free study kits and family meals in downtown Toledo on June 25

Imagination Station has partnered with COSI, Toledo Northwestern Ohio Foodbank, and others to deliver 1,000 study kits and meals to families.

Toledo, Ohio-Toledo’s Imagination Station has partnered with Columbus, Toledo Food Bank in northwest Ohio and other museums, cultural institutions, and the Municipal Center for Science and Industry (COSI) for free STEAM kits and meals. Will be distributed. on Friday. Meals are served by the Toledo Food Bank in northwest Ohio.

This distribution event is part of the Ohio Distance Education Initiative across the state. The program is an innovative initiative led by COSI with museums, grocery stores, libraries, and cultural institutions across the state and offers 50,000 free, hands-on science kits called Learning Lunchboxes.

These boxes are for distribution with your meal program and feature five activities that meet Ohio learning standards. The Learning Lunch Box is themed and promotes science, technology, engineering, art, math (STEAM), culture, history and more.

Head to Erie Street Market on 525 North Market Street on Fridays between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM for a free study lunch box and family meals. The quantity is limited and ends as soon as the supply is used up.

Toledo is the Ohio Distance Education Initiative’s fourth road show stop. Past sales events include Portsmouth, Newark, Cincinnati and others as part of Ohio’s distance learning initiative.
