Cleveland Reporter Returns to Toledo—Now as a Full-Time Anchor

It has been known that if you want to go from reporter to full-time anchor, you may have to move to a smaller market.

Following this advice is WKYC anchor reporter Tiffany Tarpleyleaving Cleveland for another Tegna station, WTOL in Toledo, Ohio, to assume a full-time weekday morning anchor position.

It is Tarpley’s second assignment at WTOL. She joined the broadcaster as soon as she graduated from Bowling Green University as an editor, photographer and fill-in reporter.

“The decision to leave WKYC and Cleveland was not an easy one, but I’m so excited about what’s to come in Toledo,” said Tarpley, a Cleveland native. “It really is my second home. I worked in the Toledo market for a total of about seven years and enjoyed everything. I’m curious to see how the community develops. “

Tarpley’s last day at WKYC will be December 4th.
